Our evaporative cooler came with the other remote, the one which requires 2 AAA batteries. After a year and a half of operation, the remote just gave up. Placed new batteries in it, nothing. Order this yesterday, received it and replacement pads today. It worked as soon as I placed a battery in it. My Ford Escape key fobs uses the same battery as this so I was able to test it right out of the box.
Well made, and works perfectly.
This didn't work on my swamp cooler.
